Katy Perry was an American Singer and Songwriter born into a conservative and restrictive family. Perry began singing gospel music when she was in her teens, after having spent growing up in the Church. Perry was permitted to enjoy any music she liked from her peers, even although it went against her parents' wishes. Perry was always a an obsession with music. Perry was a vocal woman who stood up for her ambition to be a music star and pursued it. Before she received her first break, she faced multiple challenges. She didn't receive success right away. Before she signed with the label 'Capitol Record', several of her tracks were shelved. Her studio album 'One of the Boys" was a big hit and marked a major moment in the career of the performer. The singer was now professionally singing and has never looked back after. This was her second album, "Teenage Dreams", which won the hearts of many musicians and was one of the most popular albums ever. Katy Perry was firmly established as a musician thanks to this album that broke records. Perry's charitable work isn't solely attributed to her role as a author and performer, but also for the many albums she's recorded. Perry is an LGBT rights activist.
